Teen Injured In DWI Crash On Ramp In Stanton
A female teen had serious injuries Nov. 21 after the vehicle she was traveling in struck the towed unit of a tractor trailer.
The driver of the vehicle she was in was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said she was 14, but did not provide a hometown. She was not wearing a seat belt.
According to the patrol, the accident occurred when a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Dylan A. Beatty, 22, Lonedell, drove into a 2021 Peterbilt.
The accident occurred at 11:50 p.m. at the 230 mile marker in Stanton.
Beatty exited the roadway to the right and crashed into the stationary tractor trailer.
The teen was flown to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
The driver of the tractor trailer was identified as Tolar Atkinson, 63, Purcell, Mo. He was uninjured.
Beatty was arrested by the highway patrol and placed on a 12-hour hold.
