Bourbon Man Injured In Construction Zone

A Bourbon man was one of three people struck in a construction zone Nov. 6 in St. Louis County.

Joshua L. Whitworth, 35, was working on Highway AC, south of Pershall Road around 10:30 p.m. He had moderate injuries.

A 2005 Ford Focus, driven by Mario L. Eiland, 33, St. Louis, traveled through a closed roadway, striking Whitworth and two others.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified them as Sean W. Degonia, 22, St. Louis and Zachary M. Beaver, 38, Fenton.

All three workers were wearing safety vests with high visibility reflective ankle bands.

The workers were taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital for treatment.
