Wrong Way Crash Kills Three On Interstate 44
A wrong-way crash on Interstate 44 in Franklin County on Sunday led to the deaths of three people.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2020 Jeep Cherokee driven by Tina E. Degonia, 64, House Springs, was traveling the wrong way near the 240 mile marker.
A 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by Sabrina Sutton, 26, Fishers, Ind., was struck by Degonia.
Degonia, Sutton and a passenger in her vehicle, Rachel Worley, 27, Fishers, all died. They were pronounced at Mercy Hospital.
Degonia's vehicle also struck a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Aleah Bingham, 21, Kirkwood, and a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Julie Witherspoon, 59, Shell Knob.
Witherspoon had minor injuries.
All occupants had seat belts.
