Amber Alert Issued For St. Clair Juvenile
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, approximately 1120 hours, Franklin County 911 received a call regarding a stolen vehicle. St. Clair officers were dispatched to a residence in the area of 1100 Block of Bardot St. in reference to a silver van that had been stolen. Inside the van was a 1 year old male. The theft was witnessed by a female in the area, and she saw the vehicle traveling Neff Rd towards RT K. Officers from St. Clair, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Missouri, and Missouri State Highway Patrol, began a search of the area.
At 1157 hours, deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office located the van at the intersection of Deepwoods Dr. and RT K. The suspect had abandoned the vehicle. The child was located and found to be safe and uninjured. The child was released to the parents after being examined by St. Clair EMS.
The St. Clair Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify this suspect. We believe he walked from Hwy K, up Neff Road, and ultimately into the city limits of St. Clair. It is very possible that a home security system has captured this person walking along the road and maybe even onto their property. The suspect is a white male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants. Please view your footage from between the hours of 10:30am and 11:30am. Should anybody have video footage of this person, please contact the St. Clair Police right away.
The victim's stolen vehicle is a silver Dodge Caravan. Again, please check your surveillance footage for this vehicle leaving St. Clair and traveling Neff Road and south on Hwy K and into Deep Woods Subdivision between 11:15am and 11:30a
UPDATE: The child has been located safe, but the suspect remains at large.
An amber alert has been issued for a St. Clair juvenile.
The juvenile is Cain Harvey, 1. He is wearing a fire truck pajama outfit and has a scratch above his left eye.
He was last seen with a 30-year-old male wearing a baseball cap, dark hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.
The vehicle is a silver 2019 Dodge Caravan without a front license plate.
The boy was abducted at 1187 Bardot Street at 11:24 a.m.
