Crawford County Man Charged With Vehicle Tampering, Unlawful Gun Possession

A Cook Station man was arrested March 26 for tampering with a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Albert G. Brinkmann III, 43, has been charged on both counts.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office located a stolen vehicle in the 20800 block of Highway 19 in Cherryville.
The deputy approached and Brinkmann III began walking away from the vehicle.
He complied with orders to stop.
The deputy located a handgun in his waistband.
Brinkmann III is a convicted felon.
