SHS Spring Sports Underway

The Eagles have been on the field preparing for the upcoming spring seasons. Practices have already been going and jamborees and games will start this week.

Girls Soccer

The girls soccer team gets their 2023 season started this Friday at the Warrenton Tournament. The Lady Eagles finished their stellar season with a 15-9 record.

The ladies finished their season with four wins in a row and shut out Dixon, 8-0. Abby Wiegers led the team in goals with three during the game, and Maria Schatzl was the goalie with two saves in the game.

Golf

Sullivan’s golf team finished with a 0-5 team record, but Sullivan’s members were exceptional in all their meets. They finished in second place in the Mideast Invitational as a team.

Kaleb White, Logan Watters and Charlie Lohden all got the chance to compete at State level. White finished with a plus 34 par, and Lohden followed with a plus 35 par. Watters finished it with a plus 51 par.

Baseball

The Eagles hosted a jamboree with Wright City and Orchard Farm Tuesday, March 14.

This will be Head Coach Ian Whitson’s second season as the head coach.

Sullivan hopes for their upperclassman to be part of their success this season.

The boys finished their season at the district championship game against Owensville, who stunned them with a 6-5 defeat.

The Eagles finished last season with a 9-11 record.

Track

The boys and girls track teams are ready for another season.

The teams look to start their season later this month.

Last year, Abby Peterson, Wyatt Kraus and Jaiden Hodges competed at State. Peterson led the way with a third place finish in the high jump. Kraus finished his season in 15th in the 110 hurdles and Hodges finished her season in the discus throw.
