St. Louis Residents Found With Stolen Vehicle, Guns In Crawford County Cabin
Two St. Louis residents accused of stealing a vehicle and firearms were arrested March 22 after they broke into a cabin in Cook Station.
Charles Puff, 26, and Devan Cooksey, 19, have been charged with second-degree burglary, first-degree tampering with a vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Puff and Cooksey burglarized a business in the 200 block of Highway YY and gained access to a cabin.
Deputies arrived on scene and were given access to the cabin.
Two firearms were located on the stairwell.
Deputies entered a room and located Puff and Cooksey, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
Methamphetamine was located in the room.
