Five Inmates Escape From St. Francois County Jail

Update:

Four of the remaining inmates who escaped from the St. Francois County Jail were arrested late Friday and early Saturday in Ohio.

All four were in a vehicle together.

They are being held at the Butler County Jail in Hamilton, Ohio.

The four could face charges in that state as well.

Update:

Inmate Michael Wilkins has been capture and is now in custody of the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department.

On Thursday, January 19, information was developed leading investigators to believe Wilkins was in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Today, members of the Poplar Bluff Police Department arrested Wilkins without incident. Investigators with the United States Marshals Service and the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department transported Wilkins back to the St. Francois County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.

The St. Francois County Sheriff's Department would like to thank the citizens and law enforcement of Poplar Bluff for their assistance in re-capturing Wilkins

On Tuesday, January 17, at approximately 7:00 PM, 5 inmates at the St. Francois County Detention Center made entry into a secured cell. From there, the inmates made their way through a secured door by use of force. The inmates then made their way to the roof of the Detention Center and eventually onto the ground.

The inmates made their way to the Centene Corporation within 15 minutes, entered through the secured parking lot and stole a grey 2009 Scion TC with Missouri temporary tags. All inmates left in the stolen vehicle and were last seen on camera traveling in a southerly direction. All inmates discarded their orange clothing and were seen on camera wearing white thermal leggings, white boxer and/or basketball shorts and white t-shirts. Tucker was wearing a black t-shirt.

Attached are photographs of the 5 inmates. Warrants have been issued and a nationwide broadcast has been made. All inmates were being held on felony charges. 3 inmates, LuJuan Tucker, Aaron Sebastian and Kelly McSean - AKA: Larry Bemboom - are known sex offenders being held for crimes committed while confined in the Missouri Department of Corrections Sexual Offender Treatment Center. Dakota Pace and Michael Wilkins were being held on felony warrants.

This investigation is on-going. If you know of the location of any of the escaped inmates contact the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department at (573)756-3252 or Joint Communications at (573)431-3131. If you spot any escaped inmate, call 9-1-1 and do not approach the fugitives.
