Pistol Held To Victim’s Head In Downtown Sullivan
Charges are being pursued against an 18-year-old Sullivan man accused of pointing a gun at the head of an individual in downtown Sullivan on Sunday, September 18, at 2:24 p.m.
Sullivan Police were called to the 100 block of West Main Street after a victim reported that a male subject had pointed a pistol at him and threatened him.
Officers began to canvass the area and the investigation led to an 18-year-old male who was involved in an argument with the victim. The suspect allegedly pulled a pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the victim’s forehead.
The suspect then threatened the victim and the victim was able to leave the area but observed the suspect enter a nearby apartment.
Officers made contact with the suspect at his apartment, but he denied any involvement and requests from law enforcement to search his residence were denied, according to Sullivan Police.
SPD obtained a search warrant of the residence and the firearm suspected to be used in the incident was located and seized along with several other fire arms.
During the search warrant execution, contraband was located that precipitated the issuance of a second search warrant in which a large amount of marijuana, reportedly some five pounds, and marijuana products were located and seized.
