Willman Nabs Top 10 Finish At Gans Creek
Sullivan’s cross country has had an amazing season so far.
The boys and girls teams have had tremendous showings at all their meets and look to continue with this motivation.
Head Coach Terry Wood couldn’t be happier with his team as they’ve been having some of their best races in their high school career.
Sullivan traveled to the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia on Saturday where Emily Willman was the top finisher.
Willman finished in seventh place with a time of 20:00.70. Isabel Peterson claimed 233rd with a time of 29:17.40. Olivia Huitt took 243rd with a time of 32:58.30.
Emery Mayfield of Fulton won the championship with a time of 18:50.60. St. Joseph’s Academy won the team championship with 91 points. Platte County followed with 214 points. Park Hill took third with 224 points. Lebanon followed with 283 points. Ladue Horton Watkins finished out the top five with 284 points.
Boys
Sullivan’s boys finished in 33rd as a team with 816 points.
Aiden Kirk was the top finisher in 69th place. He has a time of 18:12.90. Abram Denney got 121st with a time of 18:55.50. Aiden Lawrence took 221st with a time of 20:40.80. Ian Studdard followed right after with a time of 20:44.80. Nolan Studdard had 271st with a time of 22:11.60. Parker Whaley finished in 292nd with a time of 24:51.80.
Ben Chance of Bowling Green won the championship with a time of 16:01.50.
Father Tolton won the team championship with 147 points. Carthage followed with 181 points. DeSmet Jesuit took third with 184 points. Park Hill South followed with 246 points. Parkway Central finished out the top five teams with 262 points.
