Pacific Man Charged In Attempted Burglary

A Pacific man has been charged with attempted burglary after allegedly trying to break into an ex-girlfriend’s home.

Derrick Moore, 28, faces first-degree attempted burglary, second-degree property damage and peace disturbance 

His bond has been set at $10,000.

Moore allegedly attempted to break into a home Aug. 15 at the Avery Mobile Home Park. He tried to kick the door down, but was unsuccessful. He broke a window and threatened the victim with a gun.

Deputies were unable to locate Moore.

He was later captured Aug. 27.
