Driver Flees The Scene After St. Clair Student Injured In Hit-And-Run

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a driver fled the scene Thursday after a St. Clair student was injured in a hit-and-run accident.

The 8-year-old male had minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington for treatment.

The highway patrol has identified the driver as Rick Cull, 30, St. Clair.

According to the patrol, the incident occurred at 3:17 p.m. at 1748 Mill Hill Road.

A school bus was stopped with its arms and stop sign activated as the juvenile was exiting the bus.

A 2007 GMC Yukon, allegedly driven by Cull, traveled around the left side of the bus, striking the back left corner and stop arm, along with the juvenile.

The vehicle left the scene.
