Two Bourbon Residents Injured Wednesday Afternoon

Two Bourbon residents received injuries following a single vehicle accident on westbound Interstate 44 at the 226 overpass at 4:50 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when Doyle Isom, 73, Bourbon, operating a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a cable barrier, guardrail and bridge pillar.
Isom received moderate injuries and wife Vicki Isom, 71, Bourbon, sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital-Sullivan for treatment.
The vehicle was a total loss
