Eagles Golf Secures Second Place Finish

Finished Sixth At Meramec Lakes

Sullivan’s golf team played in the Four Rivers Conference Tournament and the Tiger Classic last week, with good showings at both meets.

The Eagles finished in sixth place at the FRC Tournament held at Meramec Lakes in St. Clair on Monday and secured a second place finish on Wednesday at the St. James Golf Club.

Sullivan placed sixth out of seven teams with a score of 373.

They were followed by Owensville with a 408.

The first place team was Union with a score of 355, and were followed by Hermann with 356.

St. Clair took third with 362, followed by Pacific with 367.

St. James finished in fifth with 369.

Logan Watters and Charlie Lohden were the top placed Eagles and tied for sixth place with an 87. Kaleb White walked away with 99 in 22nd, Blaine Sappington followed with a 100. Luke Todd finished 25th with 102.

Trigg Lindahl of Hermann took the championship with a 71. Union’s Garret Klenke got second and a 77. Ryan Bozada of St. Clair scored a 78, followed by Wilson McDaniel of St. James with an 82. Pacific’s Zach Cowsert finished with an 85.

Sullivan adjusted and made improvements for their meet in St. James later in the week.

Watters and White both medaled.

The Eagles scored better as a team and finished in second place with a 361. The top team was Union with a 349. St. James took third with a 363. Pacific got fourth with 396, followed by Hermann with 398. St. Clair finished with 400 in sixth and was followed by Owensville with 495.

White medaled in fourth with an 84. Waters also medaled in sixth place with 87. Lohden walked away with a 92. Sappington scored a 98. Todd tallied a 102.

The top performance was by Union's Klenke with an 80, followed by McDaniel of St. James with an 81.
