Pursuit With Multiple Agencies Starts With Sullivan Police
An alert Sullivan Police officer helped nab an individual who was observed in her vehicle behind a closed Sullivan business early Saturday, April 9, after the woman fled.
The puruit ended near Gray Summit.
Kristen Roades, 33, Florissant was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
She was held in the Sullivan Jail and later released to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Police began the pursuit of the suspect vehicle at 12:44 a.m. as the officer approached the vehicle in his patrol vehicle, activated his lights and the vehicle fled.
Sullivan Police gave pursuit of the vehicle along Elmont Road, where the vehicle was originally located. At that time, the vehicle fled the Service Road to Bourbon. Once in Bourbon and with Sullivan terminating their pursuit, the suspect turned onto eastbound Interstate 44. A Sullivan officer resumed pursuit and, as the vehicle approached Sullivan, a second officer deployed road spikes to attempt to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle then continued down eastbound I-44 where a St. Clair officer also spiked the car. The car still continued on, reaching the Gray Summit exit and finally stopping. The suspect exited the vehicle and was taken into custody following a foot pursuit.
There were no injuries in the pursuit to the public or law enforcement.
