Franklin County Man Charged With Kidnapping, Domestic Assault
A 23-year-old Franklin County man has been charged with second-degree domestic assault and second-degree kidnapping following an incident Saturday, February 5.
Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a local hospital to speak with a 25-year-old female victim of an assault that occurred in the 200 block of Hill Dr., Gray Summit.
Deputies arrived and spoke to the victim, who stated that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend at his residence where he held her against her will.
She informed the deputy her boyfriend Travis Green, 23, Gray Summit, pushed and punched her many times over the past week and a half. During that time he would not let her out of his sight and threatened to kill her if she left.
At one point, the victim stated he used a baseball bat to choke her. She was able to get a message to a family member to pick her up and was then taken to the hospital for her injuries.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries that were consistent with the reported assault and a witness was able to corroborate the victims statement.
Deputies made contact with Green at his home and he was taken into custody without incident.
Green is held in the Franklin County Jail without Bond and presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
