St. Clair Man Jailed For Allegedly Shaking, Hitting Child, Causing Severe Injury

A St. Clair man was arrested Monday after he allegedly shook a 3-year-old, which resulted in a head injury.

The child was unconscious and flown to a hospital for treatment.

Anthony Junge, 30, has been charged with first-degree assault and abuse neglect of a child.

According to Sheriff Steven Pelton, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. at the Paradise Mobile Home Park.

Emergency personnel arrived to find an unconscious 3-year-old.

Junge was arrested and told deputies he became frustrated with the child and began hitting and shaking.

Junge is the ex-boyfriend of the child’s mother.

He is being held without bond.
