Bourbon Alderman Removed From Seat
Clifford Crawford has been removed from his position as Ward 2 Alderman in the city of Bourbon.
Crawford, who won a special election last May against Mary Heywood, has moved out of the district. He did not submit a resignation.
The city sent him a letter notifying him that because he no longer resides in the city limits, he is no longer on the board.
City officials said Tuesday they have not heard from Crawford.
Mayor Dave Lafferty is set to appoint Mary Heywood as his replacement.
Heywood lost to Crawford in a special election last May.
The former Ward 2 alderwoman tied with Crawford in the April 6 election.
A run-off was held a month later and Crawford pulled out a 16-13 victory.
The alderman's attendance at monthly meetings was sporadic and he had not been present since October.
