Fire Alarms Increase For Third Straight Year In District

Fire alarms in the Sullivan Fire Protection District increased once again for the third straight year after the year end totals for 2021 were released by District Chief Eric Lewis.
The fire district responded to 1,031 alarms compared to 1,017 in 2020 and 1000 in 2019.
“The year 2021 saw an overall rise in calls to 1,031 with more structure fires, brush fires and motor vehicle accidents,” said Chief Lewis.”All in all, it was a very busy year for us.”
