Pedestrian Struck, Receives Serious Injuries

A pedestrian was struck on the service road in St. Clair on Friday, resulting in serious injuries.

The incident happened around 8:25 p.m. near Sunny Meadows Drive.

A 2002 Ford F-150 operated by Kelsey Kelley, 30, St. Clair, struck Jearald R. Vongladeth, 33, St. Clair. 

Vongladeth was walking in the center on the westbound lane. 

He was not wearing a light or reflective clothing.

Kelley attempted to avoid Vongladeth by swerving to the right, but the front left corner of her vehicle struck him.

Vongladeth came to a rest off the eastbound side of the roadway.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital by St. Clair EMS.
