George Charles Edward Littrell of Sullivan, MO, departed this life at his home on July 30, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-nine years, four months and thirteen days. George was born in Richwoods, MO, on March 17, 1932, son of Charles Edward Littrell and Lucy Littrell nee Stevens. On May 5, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mary Alice Doane and four children came to bless this union.

George is survived by his children, Charles Littrell and wife, Kathy, of Caledonia, WI, Terry Littrell of Bourbon, MO, Sheila Sego and husband, Donald, of Sullivan, MO and Jennifer Fore and husband, James, of Sullivan; by six siblings, Albert Littrell, Allen Littrell and wife, Rosalie, and Donald Littrell and wife, Leola, all of Owensville, MO, Sara Westbrook of Pahrump, NV, Janie Readman of the state of Iowa and Diane Light and husband, David, of Timber, MO; by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucy Littrell, by his wife, Mary Littrell, and by one brother, Preston Littrell.

George was a Christian and member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Bourbon, MO. For most of his working years, he was employed as the manager of The Bobber’s Truck Stop and Restaurant in Sullivan, MO, formerly known as the 66 Terminal and also the Thunderbird Truck Stop. As a young man, he had worked as a logger in the Richwoods, MO area. George had many hobbies and interests but was especially talented at repairing watches and clocks. He loved to spend time outdoors and hunting and fishing were favorite hobbies. He looked forward to going to “deer camp” every year and liked serving as the camp cook. Each of his children, grandchildren and great and great-great-grandchildren were special to him and he cherished the time he spent with each of them.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, with memorial service at 11 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 355 Walnut Street, Bourbon, MO. The Rev. Mike King will officiate. Interment will be in the Bourbon City Cemetery, Bourbon, MO.  Memorials may be made to the church. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
