Bourbon Woman, Three Juveniles Injured On I-44
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Sullivan woman had serious injuries Monday from an accident that occurred on Interstate 44.
Three juveniles also were injured, ranging from minor to moderate injuries.
According to the patrol, the accident occurred when Stephanie Lintermoot, 30, slid off the wet roadway, traveled off the road and collided with an embankment at the 212 mile-marker.
The 2010 Ford Edge she was driving began to overturn and struck a tree.
The occupants were struck in the head by flying debris.
Lintermoot was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
She was not wearing a seat belt.
A 7-year-old female had moderate injuries and was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
A 6-year-old female and a 2-year-old male had minor injuries.
