Authorities Investigating Double Homicide In Stanton

On 8-20-21 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Franklin County received a call of a shooting in the 3300 block of Lollar Branch Road, Sullivan, MO. As deputies arrived on scene, they located a 23 year old male who had been shot and was pronounced deceased by EMS. This victim was from Gray Summit, MO. A second victim, a 24 year old male from St. Clair, MO, was transported to Missouri Baptist hospital in Sullivan where he later was pronounced deceased. There is a person of interest/witness that has fled from the scene due to outstanding warrants. Currently, there is no information that leads us to believe that there is a threat to the community. Investigators are actively working the scene and conducting interviews; further information will be released as the investigation develops.
