Early Morning Accident Injures Two

Two 20-year-olds received minor injuries following a single vehicle accident on Highway N, just south of Rockwood Ridge Lane, early Monday morning, August 2, at 1:25 a.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident occurred when Colin A. Wells, 20, Rolla, operating a northbound 2008 Chrysler 300, traveled off the right side of the roadway where it struck several road signs and overturned coming to a rest on its side.

Wells, wearing a seatbelt received minor injuries while a passenger Zachary S. Kimker, 20, Bourbon, received minor injuries . Kimker was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital-Sullivan for treatment.

Both subjects were wearing their seatbelts and the vehicle was a total loss.

Wells was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on right half of roadway resulting in an accident.
