COVID-19 Cases In Long-Term Care Facilities Surge
Franklin County has seen a surge of COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities.
The county health department reported Tuesday there are now 92 active cases in those facilities.
On Sept. 17, the county said there were just two cases in long-term care facilities.
Cases have risen sharply since Oct. 21 when there were just 37.
In the last two days, the county has reported 111 cases.
A new single-day high of 66 was reported on Monday.
Hospitalizations have dropped to nine.
There have been 44 deaths.
The 10-day rolling total is 417 and the 14-day average is 40.86.
Franklin County has reported 2,746 total.
The overall positivity rate has risen to 7.04% — the highest on record.
Over the last 14 days it is 13.48%.
