Voters delivered a stinging defeat Tuesday to Proposition D, which would have increased Missouri’s motor fuel tax.
Statewide, the proposition lost 54 percent to 46 percent. Voters rejected what would have been a 2.5 cent increase each year for the next four years.
Proposition D had the endorsement of Gov. Mike Parson.
