Washington Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Accident On Highway 47

A Washington man suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon in an accident on Highway 47 at Country Club Road in Franklin County.
Frankie J. Hogan, 83, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington for treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Hogan was driving a 2011 Buick Lucerne when he made a left turn from Forest Hills Drive onto Highway 47, directly in the path of a 2012 Ford Fusion, driven by Lacey J. Stone, 19, Washington.
Stone’s vehicle struck the right side of Hogan’s, which traveled off the right side of the road.
Stone had minor injuries.
Richard Smith, 85, who was a passenger in Hogan’s vehicle, also had minor injuries.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts.
