Union Man With Lengthy Criminal History Back In Custody
A Union man who has been arrested multiple times this year and has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2005 is back in custody after allegedly breaking into a home.
Tyler Loyd, 36, has been charged with second-degree burglary.
Loyd has been arrested three times in 2024, twice for second-degree burglary. He was arrested July 16 for stealing a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
Loyd is currently on probation for stealing a motor vehicle, tampering with a motor vehicle and drug charges.
According to the probable cause statement, deputies responded Sept. 7 to the area of Willow Creek in Union for an abandoned vehicle at a low water crossing.
Deputies traced Loyd and another subject to an old house. Loyd was seen walking around with a flashlight.
Loyd told deputies he was looking for his dog, but there were no signs he had a dog with him. Deputies found burglary tools in his pockets.
