Two Injured After Striking Trees

Two people were injured April 12 in a crash after striking several trees on north Highway 185 in Franklin County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:25 p.m. near Volkmann Lane.
A 2022 Kia Sportage, driven by an 82-year-old man from Cottage Hills, Ill., crossed the center of the road, started to skid and went off the road. The front struck several trees.
A 77-year-old woman from St. Clair was an occupant in the vehicle.
Both had moderate injuries and were taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. They were wearing seat belts.
