Two Downtown Businesses Hit By Thieves

Sullivan Police are investigating thefts from two downtown businesses which occurred on Tuesday, April 5, hours apart.

Sullivan Police were called to Peace of Mind, 104 West Main St., at 3:56 p.m. after a store employee observed that someone had broken into the rear of the business and removed several glass pipes valued at over $540.

The suspect or suspects removed a rear window to access entry into the business and steal the merchandise.

Hours later at 5:40 p.m. Sweet Repeats, 12 West Main St., reported that a store employee had stepped outside of the business for a delivery when someone entered the business and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the store register and fled the scene.
