Two Charged With Assaulting Man At Canoe Rental

Two Crawford County men have been charged after they allegedly assaulted a man outside Browns Canoe Rental.

A 51-year-old Sullivan man and 23-year-old Steelville man have been charged with third-degree asault.

The Steelville man also faces charges for unlawful use of a weapon.

They both remain in custody.

According to the probable cause statement, the incident occurred Aug. 21, around 4:05 a.m.

The suspect said the two men jumped him as he was leaving the bathroom.
