Tractor Trailer Overturns, Injuring Two

Two people had injuries when the tractor trailer they were traveling in overturned March 7 on Interstate 44 in Stanton.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred at 12:15 p.m. at the 230 mile-marker.

A 2021 Freightliner, driven by Iryna Liskovska, 45, Carmichael, Calif., was traveling eastbound. He lost control of the truck, went off the road and began sliding.

The tractor trailer overturned onto his right side and struck the cable median barrier.

As the truck continued to slide, it flung debris at a 2021 Kia KS, driven by Timothy S, Edger, 62, Steelville.

Edger was uninjured and drove away from the scene.

Liskovska and Lurii Liskocskyi, also of Carmichael, had moderate injuries and were taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.

Liskovska was wearing a safety device. It is unknown if Liskocskyi was wearing one.

Traffic was stalled on the Interstate as a result of the accident.
