Teen Driver Injured In Collision With School Bus

A Cuba teen had minor injuries March 14 after colliding with a school bus on Highway 19 in Crawford County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 16-year-old female was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz at Highway 19 and Highway P around 7:21 a.m.

The driver failed to yield while making a left turn to a 2021 IC school bus, driven by Betty L. Counts, 44, Steelville.

The driver was taken by private vehicle to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment.

She was wearing a safety device.

The school bus had moderate damage.
