Sullivan MFA Coop Set To Close Following Bank Note Call
Sullivan MFA Coop #301 is set to close in early 2023 after more than 100 years in business.
The cooperative’s bank has informed them they must pay a note or the building will be sold Feb. 3, 2023.
Cooperative officials told the Independent News they were caught off guard by the bank’s intentions to call the note.
MFA manager Melissa Larrison reported the cooperative began liquidating inventory Oct. 31 and will mark 10 percent off items.
They will also begin selling other inventory equipment such as fertilizer buggies.
MFA Coop #301 was established in 1922 and the cooperative celebrated its 100-year anniversary last July.
MFA Coop is located at 28 North Church Street.
