Sullivan Man Charged With Sexual Misconduct, Statutory Sodomy

A Sullivan man has been charged after committing various sex crimes with a juvenile victim.

John R. Alt, 82, has been charged with three counts of statutory sodomy and sexual misconduct with a child under 15.

The probable cause statement alleges that over the last two years, Alt has recorded himself on a tablet in various sexual acts in front of a child

Alt also allegedly committed sexual acts on the victim.

The probable cause statement says Alt confessed in a written statement.

Alt is being held without bond.
