Sullivan Man Charged With Kidnapping, Assault
A Sullivan man was arrested Sept. 20 after he allegedly assaulted a victim.
Matthew Nolie, born 1985, faces second-degree domestic assault and second-degree kidnapping charges.
The probable cause statement alleges that the victim was punched in the ribs, face and back of the head. Nolie also placed her in a rear naked choke.
The current victim had reported Nolie twice in the past year for assault.
The victim had a red mark just starting to bruise under her eye, along with bruises in different stages of healing that were caused by Nolie.
Nolie also allegedly withheld a large sum of money from the victim and alienated the victim from friends and family.
