Sullivan Man Charged In Hammer Attack On Female Truck Stop Employee
A Sullivan man faces multiple charges after he allegedly attacked a woman with a hammer at Midwest Petroleum in Cuba on Feb. 17.
He has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.
The man is being held at the Crawford County Jail. He has not yet appeared in court.
The victim, an employee, had a laceration on the side of her head and a lump on her forehead.
Police said there was a trail of blood around 20 feet long from the spot where she was attacked to the counter where she was sitting.
