Sullivan Man Charged With Child Molestation

A Sullivan man has been charged in Franklin County with two counts of child molestation.

Bobby Jo Wade, 33, faces one count of second-degree child molestation, involving a child less than 12 years of age and one count of third-degree child molestation, involving a child less than 14.

The case was investigated by the Sullivan Police Department, Missouri Department of Social Services and Child Advocacy Center.

Wade was arrested Friday and held on a $150,000 bond in the Franklin County Jail with a hearing scheduled for Monday, September 19.

Sullivan Police received a report from a Sullivan resident who alleged that two of her children had been sexually assaulted by a member of the household.

According to the probable cause statement, these incidents are alleged to have occurred during 2021 and 2022 at the family home off Elmont Road.

The probable cause statement, signed by a Sullivan Police detective, alleges that Wade admitted to various sexual assaults and photographed and recorded one of the victims.
