Sullivan Man Arrested Following Suspected DWI Crash In Washington County
A Sullivan man was arrested Sept. 16 after a suspected DWI crash in Washington County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Robert R. Summers, Jr., 61, was traveling eastbound on Highway EE.
He failed to stop at a stop sign in a 2000 Ford F-150, crossed the road and drove off the side. The vehicle crashed into a tree.
Summers was uninjured. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Steven M. Summers, 52, Sullivan, was a passenger in the vehicle and had minor injuries. He was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. He also was not wearing a seat belt.
The highway patrol arrested Robert Summers at 9:25 p.m. Summers was booked at the Washington County Jail and released after a 12-hour hold.
His license was revoked.
