St. James Woman Fatally Injured After Being Ejected From Dune Buggy

A St. James woman had fatal injuries Sunday after she was ejected from a dune buggy in Phelps County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Chandra D. Moffet, 42, was the passenger in a 1981 Dune Buggy, driven by Paul G. Rice, 49, Catawissa.
Rice lost control on County Road 1140, traveling off the road and overturning.
Moffet, who was not wearing a safety device, was ejected.
She was pronounced at the scene.
Rice was taken to Phelps Health with minor injuries.
