St. Clair Man Arrested For Brandishing Gun Towards Victim

On the evening of February 15th, 2023, Franklin County Deputies responded to the area of Hwy WW in St. Clair, Missouri in regard to a male subject walking down the roadway yelling profanities and threatening bodily harm on a family member. The reporting party who was in the yard of a residence, told the male suspect to leave the area due to his erratic behavior and profane language.  When the reporting party began following the subject on foot to be sure he left the area, the suspect turned toward her verbally threatening to shoot her. He then proceeded to point a handgun at her. As the suspect began walking away the reporting party, he turned around and pointed the handgun at her in a threatening manner. The suspect at that time walked off out of view. The description of the suspect was provided to deputies. As deputies were canvassing the area, they located the suspect on the North Service Road just east of Hwy WW. 

Upon being detained, deputies located a 9mm handgun on the person of the suspect as well as suspected narcotics and paraphernalia. He was taken into custody without incident.

Deputies conducted a welfare check on the family member of the suspect and she was found to be safe.

The suspect was transported to the Franklin County Adult Detention Facility. Deputies applied for and were issued in custody warrants for the suspect identified as Kevin R. Hunt Jr. a 31year old male from St. Clair, Mo on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm-Dangerous felon, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting in a threatening manner with no bond.
