Possible Grenade Found

UPDATE: According to Sullivan Fire Chief Eric Lewis, St. Louis Bomb Squad determined that this was a loaded grenade and have mitigated the situation. All fire units and personnel have been cleared from the scene.

Sullivan Firefighters have been called to the 10000 block of Highway 185 for a reported live grenade.

Sources have confimed that the home owner was clearing away some brush when they came across what appears to be a live grenade.

The property owner then placed the grenade into this container.

Firefighters believe due eto the color that this is very possibly an active round and have called in the Franklin County Sheriff's Department who will take over the scene.
