Pacific Woman Charged In Apparent Drug Robbery That Led To Double Homicide
A Pacific woman has been charged following an apparent drug robbery at a Sullivan residence early Friday morning.
Marie Pursley, 23, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree attempted robbery.
Pursley's bond has been set at $250,000.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Pursley and two people -- a 23-year-old Gray Summit and 24-year-old St. Clair man -- intended to rob the residence of drugs and money.
Pursley allegedly escorted the two a few hundred yards from the residence, then went inside and began doing drugs with the homeowner.
The two males broke in and held the homeowner up at gunpoint, but another occupant inside the home grabbed a gun and ordered the pair to drop their weapons.
A physical confrontation ensued and shots were fired.
The Gray Summit and St. Clair man died.
The Gray Summit man was pronounced dead at the scene and the St. Clair man was transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital where he later died.
