Owensville Man Killed In Fiery Crash In Kansas
An Owensville man was killed in a fiery crash on Monday outside of Wichita, Kan.
William Ahring, 53, was one of two people that died in the accident.
According to the Gasconade County Republican, Ahring was pulling an empty flatbed trailer when he failed to stop at a stop sign.
A northbound tractor-trailer loaded with rock, struck the passenger side doors and fuel tanks of Ahring’s trailer
Deputy Sheriff Daimon Cundiff said both trucks caught fire “pretty quickly.”
The Republican said Ahring taught bowling at the family’s business, Owensville Bowl.
His son, Tyler, is the head coach of the Owensville High School baseball team and his wife, Belinda, is city clerk in Gerald.
