Middle School Student Transported To Hospital After Vape Reaction

A Sullivan Middle School student was transported Friday to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital due to a reaction to a vaping device.

According to Sullivan Police, they responded to Sullivan Middle School for an ambulance call of a teenage female student having an allergic reaction to 10-72, also referred to as drugs in law enforcement code.

The student was transported for treatment.

On Monday, Sullivan School Superintendent Jana Thornsberry issued the following statement to the Sullivan Independent News: “On Friday afternoon, an ambulance was dispatched to Sullivan Middle School to treat an individual student who had a reaction to a vape. The student was transported by ambulance to the hospital and later released.”
