Man Suffers Medical Issue While Driving, Crashes Into Bridge

A St. James man was flown to St. Louis on July 9 after suffering a medical issue and crashing into an overpass bridge in Crawford County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Travis W. Hall, 56, had serious injuries in the crash, which occurred at the 214 mile-marker.

Hall was driving a 2023 GMC Sierra in the westbound lanes of Interstate 44 around 12:25 p.m.

The patrol said he had a medical issue. The truck went off-road, striking a sign and the bridge.

Hall was not wearing a safety device.
