Man, Juvenile Killed In Collision With Bluff On Gasconade River
An Owensville man and juvenile were fatally injured in a collision with a rock bluff on the Gasconade River Sept. 1, while two adults and three other juveniles were hurt.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Reven N. Newbound, 30, Owensville and a 7-year-old female from Owensville were pronounced deceased at 7:30 p.m.
The crash occurred upstream from Pointers Creek in Osage County.
Newbound was driving a 2002 Gatorboat when he struck a root wad, causing the vessel to collide with a rock bluff.
Samantha Newbound, 29, Owensville, had serious injuries. She was airlifted to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Taylor M. McClure, 21, Bland, had minor injuries and was treated on scene.
The highway patrol said two females — ages 9 and 4 — and one infant boy had serious injuries.
