Man Charged In 2022 Arrest For Stolen Gun, Drugs

A Springfield man faces charges from a 2022 incident when he was arrested with a stolen handgun and methamphetamine.

Roger L. Sohn II, 42, was charged June 5 for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and resisting/interfering with arrest.

Sohn was arrested May 30, 2022 in St. Clair.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper had been in pursuit of Sohn, who was operating a motorcycle and got away.

Sohn was familiar to law enforcement from past arrests for drugs, firearms and stolen property. He had several no-bond warrants for his arrest.

Sohn ran into his mother’s house, then escaped through the back door. A trooper tased him twice and cuffed him.

A 9mm handgun reportedly stolen from Sullivan was found in the living room, along with a bag of methamphetamine.
