Man Arrested For Brandishing Sword At Wife

A Sullivan man was arrested after a domestic altercation ended with him pulling out a sword and threatening to stab his wife.

Michael P. Nappier has been charged with third-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon — exhibiting. 

Nappier allegedly pushed his wife down and began to strike her in the chest area. His wife claimed that he placed his hands around her neck. She pushed him off and he is alleged to have grabbed a sword, removed it from its sheathe and threatened to stab her.

Nappier eventually put the sword back.
