Man Airlifted In Crash On I-44
A Rolla man on was airlifted to the hospital after a crash on Interstate 44 in Crawford County.
The crash occurred April 20 at the 209 mile marker.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, David R. Schulze, 26, Rolla, was overtaking a tractor trailer in the eastbound lanes.
His 2017 Jeep Cherokee struck the front of a 2025 Freightliner, driven by Kensie Lewis, 37, Henderson, North Carolina.
Schulze’s vehicle traveled off the road and overturned.
He was wearing a safety device.
Schulze was taken by ARCH helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
Lewis had minor injuries. He was treated on scene and released.
